I want something more out of EVE; I'm bored with hisec and been solo for too long. I'm looking for a group of people who want to have fun, don't take EVE (or themselves) too seriously, and that I feel I can trust and grow with. I'm mostly interested in 0.0 corps, as I kind of like a positive sec status (being able to jumpclone to and from hisec is useful).
A little bit about me: Started as a carebear, grew into a more casual attitude but haven't had a lot of experience with PVP. I've spent a ton of time in lowsec and 0.0, and I know how to survive there- I've never yet been caught by a player or podded (knock wood). I'm a relatively casual player, but fiercely loyal to those I consider my friends/cohorts. ISK is bits in the ether, honor is forever.
I play mostly on weeknights late Pacific time and the weekends at odd hours. I have and will walk away from the computer when my son asks me for something- no offense, but he's more important to me than you are, and if you can't accept that then don't bother trying to recruit me. That should give you a general sense of my priorities- that said, I prefer to play after most of the family is in bed. I work full time and don't always have the bandwidth for EVE that I wish I did, so sometimes I can be in low-participation mode, but this is not a common occurence.
What I bring to the party:
Fourteen million SP. I'm specialized in small ships, ewar and sneaky sneaky. I'm pure Gallente spec'd with T2 small blasters and rails. However, where I really shine is in covert ops and probing/scouting. I have Astrometrics 5, Signal Acquisition 5 and other probing skills all at 4. With a Sisters Scan probe launcher, there's not many who could hide from me without a cloak. I'm not quite where I want to be in terms of ewar yet, but when I am (and it's not far off) I'll be able to dampen you so hard it'll leave your sister moist. As it is right now I'm very effective at ewar- I once escaped a bubble in 0.0 with an unarmed Imicus and a multispec ECM.
I'm also within a fairly short hop of HACs and HICs and have cyno capability, although I've never used it. I can also fly the Obelisk freighter, although I've never used that either. I've got the skills for blockade runners and transports, as well as mining barges (up to Retriever)
With covert ops 5 and cloaking 4, I would make an extremely effective scout or scanner plus a short-term tackler- the only thing I lack is the hands-on experience of tracking down player targets (I have some but not a ton). I'm also an extremely accomplished explorer; if you want to find a site, I'm your guy- I've never failed to find one I went after, even the one that took 3 days.
I should also add that although I'm not very experienced in the field I have a pretty good understanding of things like: Voice comms, discipline, tactical bookmarks, scanning, ranges, and so forth- I know the difference between a scan bookmark and a sniper bookmark, and the basics of fleet operations.
What I want- a corp that will make me feel welcome, that I can feel like I can contribute to with real goals- ownership and control of space being among them. I want to feel like I'm participating in a larger goal, with honorable people. I believe my skills are in demand- especially the scanning and probing ones. I'm willing to consider pirate corps but I have to admit I'm less inclined to go with a massively negative sec status simply because it's a PITA.
What I don't want- politics or drama. Seriously, if you have either or both- even a little bit- then don't bother recruiting me, as the first thing I'll do when it comes up is drop roles and GTFO. I can't stand drama or politics and won't stay in a corp where they're going on.
